Title: Where are you ordering OEM parts from? Post by Paraquat on 05/18/12 at 09:57:23 Not Ron Ayers. Not powersportsplus. There's no way I'm going back to my local Suzuki shop. You wouldn't believe their prices. Take the cam chain, for instance. I found it for 86 bucks. Looking up the Kawasaki equivalent was 88! I just need a few stupid things: crush washers, gaskets, hardware. --Steve |

Title: Re: Where are you ordering OEM parts from? Post by built2last66 on 05/19/12 at 20:13:39 Paraquat, did you ask your local bike shop if they price match? My local shop does, and you don't pay shipping.. Ron and Powersports can take forever though, I don't know what their problem is.. I've been waiting for about 2 weeks for my order to even ship for new carb screws.. |
Title: Re: Where are you ordering OEM parts from? Post by justin_o_guy2 on 05/20/12 at 07:01:19 Carb screws? Isnt there a local Nut & Bolt place? We have 2, one is Longview Fasteners, every size & shape, metric & standard, & what they dont have, they can get in a day or 2. |

Title: Re: Where are you ordering OEM parts from? Post by justin_o_guy2 on 05/20/12 at 07:33:59 I just walk in & lay one of what I need on the counter, get what I need & walk out for a next to nothing,, Its not possible to get a lower quality than what came on the bike. I get what I want sooner, dont have to give anyone my card # online or the phone, I save $$$ , Im just funny that way,. |

Title: Re: Where are you ordering OEM parts from? Post by Kiran on 05/20/12 at 10:01:34 I start with Amazon and work my way out from there. I found this place, www.billetcycles.com, and if you use coupon code 2012 you get 20% off. |
Title: Re: Where are you ordering OEM parts from? Post by Paraquat on 05/21/12 at 05:14:52 I'm in CT. Honestly I'm sick of my local dealer. I have caught them inflating prices more than once. I mean you've gotta keep the lights on but I'm talking real price gouging. Thanks for the links, guys. --Steve |
Title: Re: Where are you ordering OEM parts from? Post by justin_o_guy2 on 05/21/12 at 05:51:32 Theres a local, independent shop I like. They can get anything I need & they are nice & dont try to retire to the Bahamas on every transaction. Have you gone to visit the local shops other than your friendly Zuke dealer? Makes for a nice ride,, you mite even locate a nut & bolt shop |
Title: Re: Where are you ordering OEM parts from? Post by Paraquat on 05/21/12 at 05:55:09 That's part of the issue. Two local shops I used to go to have since closed. --Steve |
Title: Re: Where are you ordering OEM parts from? Post by justin_o_guy2 on 05/21/12 at 12:44:45 Man, I hate to hear that. The one I have been using is showing signs of distress,, no where near the level of inventory they used to have. |
