Title: Reservoir Cap measurements and modding
Post by Megataur on 05/15/12 at 18:31:41

Hey guys,

This is my first topic for me, I am a new proud owner of a Suzuki S40 LS650 Savage 2010. From New Zealand.

I'm customizing my bike using simple parts, mostly visual more than performance, but also functional parts like the GPS tracker and alarm.

I've got a new chrome Reservoir Cap from ebay and while the auction said it should fit Suzuki Savage, it didn't.

Here are some information that might be useful.

The measurements are:

  • Length aprox. 73mm
  • Width aprox. 41-42mm
  • Between screws and excluding aprox. 48mm
  • Between screws from middle to middle aprox. 57mm

You will also be able to see it in the attached image.

Thanks to C. Browning for the photo I have used to show measurements and also to Greg DuBios for their very useful "The Savage Companion Photo CD".

This is a photo of the replacement reservoir I have ordered (the correct one).

I like that. Post a pic once it's on.

Sure thing, I've got grips, footpegs and some other custom parts coming from the U.S. and will take some photos before/after and hopefully during to compare the two parts (the OEM and the aftermarket).
