Will this thing work? Imagine so, Does it matter that its not oem? This guy says its better, but I have a hard time trusting salesmen.

I'm bout to bust open the Clutch cover to check out my cam chain tension-er.

then i found this and I'm thinking that they are shaped completely different

The first one is clutch cover, right side of engine.
The second one is dynamo cover, left side of the motor.

Be sure there is a small silicone "worm" around a few top holes on your clutchcover. Only the originale gaskets from suzuki have that. You best buy your gaskets by the Suzuki dealer.
