Title: Tank cleaning Post by skelly15 on 05/13/12 at 23:27:34 I'm about to ship my Tank across country and was wondering what to use? I have heard of using laundry detergent and boiling water, does this really work?

Title: Re: Tank cleaning Post by Dave on 05/14/12 at 03:38:11 I don't believe you need to wash the tank out - just drain it and let it air out for a couple of days.  Set it where there is a breeze and some sun - I have an old aqarium pump and I put the hose in the tank and let it run to get air circulation through the tank.  I would avoid putting any kind of water in the tank if you don't need to.
