Title: I'm Back
Post by Jimmer on 05/04/12 at 09:36:26

Just stopped by to say hello. It has been awhile since I've been here, just real busy and helped my son remodel his newly purchased home.
The military theme bike is just about complete.I do have one question, is there any information on mounting 50 cal. ammo boxes as saddlebag. Hope to see you more, on line, now that life has slowed down some.

Check that last one out, they sit in cradles & you can pick them up & haul them off.. I guess a clever fella could make the cradles removable w/o a big ordeal,

Good grief be careful,, nothing but corners, in a fall gettin a leg under there would hafta hurt.

Depends on if you want fixed mount or removable mounts. I'd be checking some of the dual sport or adventure touring sites for mounting tips. I've put them on Harley's before but only as fixed mounts. Which is easy, drill them and bolt to the fender rail/fender with extended bolts. Add a couple brace rods so they won't crack and you're done.

Cans that big won't fit well on a Savage. Longer than the stock fender.  ;D

Dang Jimmer... was just thinking about you and wondering if you were still around on the boards. :)

Glad to see you're still around. We'll have to catch up one of these days!
