Title: Ruffled feathers Post by Greg on 05/02/12 at 15:46:18 I read plenty of off-color humor in The Cafe. I thought my news story was a good fit here. Apparently I was mistaken. I deleted it. |
Title: Re: Ruffled feathers Post by justin_o_guy2 on 05/02/12 at 16:21:36 Thanks Greg,, off color is one thing,, but that one was,, ( Ohh Dare I?) a horse of a different color.. |

Title: Re: Ruffled feathers Post by Serowbot on 05/02/12 at 22:09:43 I thought it was hysterical... ;D... ... and I thought I hit a home run with my retort... (admittedly,.. a grounder)... but,.. a run's a run!... ;D... In fact,.. it might be my retort that crossed the line... :-?... |

Title: Re: Ruffled feathers Post by Stimpy - FSO on 05/03/12 at 02:52:42 This IS a (semi)public forum, I mean, yes, a very few have been banned mostly because of trolling or whatever but basically you are in a way entitled to expressing yourself freely here and exactly this is one of the many reasons why I still hang out here after so many years and have even sent a bit of $$ towards the site's management, unlike at other forums. However the line of good taste is drawn crystal clear between potty jokes and bashing and mocking our politicians/theological rockstars and bestiality and the such, why? cause next thing you know there'll be threads about paedobear and rape jokes, that's why; you'd be amazed at the brainpower gathered in this site and I don't think anybody here has time, interest or tolerance for the above mentioned topics. So whatever, I don't care, but since you're new here and only have a couple of posts may I kindly suggest abandoning your current account and opening a new one with a different handle cause from now on you will be now and forever known as Greg the Beastophile (and I don't exactly mean he who likes Animal Planet) Dude, we all here like jokes, odd news and animals ...just not that way ::) http://s10.postimage.org/4kasa04k9/Dog_Sprinkler.jpg (http://postimage.org/) sprinkler (http://postimage.org/) |

I hate to disagree, but my news story is not a gateway drug. It is a news story. It isn't something that I found on some porn site. It was on the local news. Sometimes news is disturbing. When I find news that disturbs me, I quit reading/watching it. I am a good, moral, honest, and responsible adult. My biggest fault is I can find humor in pretty much anything. If we can't laugh we may as well be dead. This does not trivialize whatever the topic is though. If people need to judge me because I posted a news story, then so be it. If I get banned or ignored because of a news story, then so be it. I will not create a new account. I am who I am. I didn't judge anyone else based on their posts. I did delete the story when a couple of people expressed their dislike. I will refrain from posting similar items in the future. I just hope we are all adult enough to stop reading when we are reading something we don't like. |
Title: Re: Ruffled feathers Post by justin_o_guy2 on 05/03/12 at 07:33:49 Greg, I was shocked & disturbed, it was too late to stop, it didnt come with a warning, Im not angry, not at all. Im not a big fan of banning people, certainly not over one C&P, I dont think youre a horrible person, I dont think anyone does, dont sweat it,. If youre gonna post something that you think mite be a bit over the edge, at least hit it with a little blurb, a warning, Okay, man? |
Title: Re: Ruffled feathers Post by Serowbot on 05/03/12 at 08:18:22 What cracked me up,.. was the charge... Burglary... ;D... I mean,.. that's a pretty creative interpretation, Sheriff.... :-?... If the guy goes to prison,.. "Whaddya' in for?... "Burglary" "Whatcha' steal?" "Uuhhh"... |

Title: Re: Ruffled feathers Post by Serowbot on 05/03/12 at 09:53:34 Stimpy,... if you're being a stickler for forum rules,.. calling someone a freak, and a Beastophile,... is against the rules... No personal attacks... ... Greg just posted a bizarre news story... It was deemed appropriate for publication in a public newspaper that can be bought by minors,.. no ID required... My comment was more off-color than anything Greg said... ..and I ain't changing my name either... I assume that street bike riders are old enough to drive,... and hopefully mature enough click a button if they are offended... Heck,.. I didn't even read the article, 'cause feel a need to gather details... You could do the same... If it ain't funny, don't laugh,... but it wasn't graphic,.. and it wasn't promoting any behaviour... (... and apparently, from the charge,... if it had been his own horse, it wouldn't have been illegal)... That's the part I don't get... :-?... |

Title: Re: Ruffled feathers Post by Stimpy - FSO on 05/03/12 at 14:32:11 Serowbot is right about the personal attack part, I'm sorry, I take it back. ...but but but it's just that... it IS kinda freaky that something attracted this man to this particular news story (out of all the millions of news pieces in the world) enough to bother to post and share it, just makes me wonder, that's all. again, sorry everyone, I'll promise to try not to be such a drama queen anymore and waste everyones time; now let's get back to d1ck jokes. :) |

Title: Re: Ruffled feathers Post by Stimpy - FSO on 05/03/12 at 15:10:05 You do know that my real name is Richard too right? Yup, names are really powerful things, the carry a certain magic, character and power with them all on their own. Also I guess archetypes are for real and there is only a limited amount of base personalities in the world that repeat themselves over and over again but everytime with slight variations, weird. |
