Title: PowerStar Spark Plug
Post by Jacob on 05/01/12 at 17:14:06

Anybody use the spark plug made by powerstarsparkplugs.com? I bought one tonight and would love some information on it before I install it. If anybody is running a powerstar spark plug, how does your bike run? Did you have to make any farther adjustments afterwards? Could you tell a difference?

If anybody is interested in that spark plug the website is www.powerstarsparkplugs.com and the plug for the Suzuki Savage / Boulevard S40 is RS-12CB8-10.

Thank you.

Jacob

Hate to disappoint,.. but it's gonna' run about the same...
Hopefully it lasts longer,.. but I don't know..

"Wonder plugs",.. are snake oil...

You are still burning the same amount of fuel,.. you'll still have the same HP's and same mpg's...

That's alright. I googled coupon codes and got over $5 off the plug anyhow so it won't hurt to try. But thanks for the input.

Don't feel bad...  I bought 8 "Super-Duper" plugs once...
That one really hurt!...  ;D ;D ;D...

I think some of 'em may last a bit longer or stay clean better but that's about it.

In my impetious youth I bought some expensive spark plugs.......the advertising and claims lured me in.  I tried the dual and quadruple electrodes, surface gap plugs, etc.  The end result is that if they were so great for performance and mileage - the factories would use them as part of their expensive research to get better performance and mileage.

There has been a great improvements in plugs when they started making the thin electrodes out of exotic metals - this makes the plugs last longer.  The old standard plugs would get rounded off electrodes and that made it harder for the plug to spark properly.

For me.....fancy plugs do very little in a primitive engine like the Suzuki S40.  Get a a factory recommended plug and your engine will run just fine.
