I mounted a tire ona rim for a spare for the car,instead of a donut. The rim didn't have a valve core,so I took it out of the donut .My question is,is it possible to get a distorted air pressure reading,it seems the tire is holding air,and not leaking ,but the tire seems awful hard for the 30lbs of pressure its reading. Thanks!

Nope, the Schrader valve should read pressure just the same, regardless of the size of tire.

FWIW, I have 3 tire gauges,, some days, they dont read within 10 pounds of each other,,

I tried two different guages. They are close . The pressure is ok ,I think.
