Post by justin_o_guy2 on 04/27/12 at 16:44:56

Im gettin Bull ready to sell,, I bought some rear signals a coupla years ago, never got them on,, & today, I was into it & discovered,, I bought 2 left signals,, & that just sux, in a kinda sorta way,, so, I was thinking Id just buy some aftermarket lites,, nothing extreme, nothing tiny, no led, just easy bolt on replacements that look good on the bike,

Suggestions? Links?

& if anyone thinks Im upset about my 2 left signals, youre wrong,, I now have signals for my feet,,

How bad does it look if you just flip one over?  Still mountable?

Cant mount it,, theres a screw hole in the bottom of the stem.. If ya put the left one on the right side, Itll mount right up, but itll be pointed to the frunt & that aint Koool,,

are you replacing them cause you got bad rubbers?

if not, take the rubbers from the old lights.

I don't know how they make any money over there in Hong Kong. I just bought a Li-ion battery for my PS3 controller and a USB cable for 4 dollars, including PayPal fees, shipped.

I can't mail a package for less than 6 dollars let alone the contents.

What about the ricer aisle at Autozone?

Searched "Motorcycle turn signals"  sort by best price...

A buddy of mine buying a wire wheel for his bench grinder,.. didn't want a cheapy from China at Harbor Freight,... so, he paid $6 extra for a good one from Ace...  First use, the Ace label came off, and you guessed it,.. it said China underneath...

I've heard that they charge extra in China to put a "Made in USA" label on their products...

Never know what yer' getting any more... :-?...

I could be Waaay wrong here, but back when we made stuff In America, Id bet there were varying grades of products. I suspect there is a factory in China that makes anvils that break & dont cost hoot, & another factory that makes a decent anvil,,& costs Hoot+,, Not to say "Ya get what ya pay for", but I believe its "You pay for what you get". IOW, paying more is no assurance of quality, any more than payin $50.00 for a round steak will turn it into filet mignon, but if someone sells you a filet mignon for $1.00, you mite be gettin shafted, ehh?

When I was a kid the enterprising Japanese named an industrial complex "USA" so they could put "made in USA" on the product. Don't get me started on China.....

The stuff made in china can range from crap to really good.
-- It all depends on the requirements of the company contracting with the chinese manufacturer.
-- Some international brands will have their products made in china, and they do require very high quality,.. but they pay for it.  It's still cheaper to have it made in china, but it costs more than the 90% of the stuff coming out of china that is junk.

I read in one of the bike mags (Motorcyclist maybe) that the chinese motorcycle industry at the moment is where the japs were in the 60s.  IOW, in a few years, watch out!  We will be flooded with cheap innovative motorcycles that compete with the japs in quality.

They DO know how to build high-quality stuff, and build it at low cost.  When they start exporting products that actually are high-quality to our markets, and the word gets around, they'll grab even a larger share of it.
