Title: Hi...new owner! Post by gcsdls on 04/20/12 at 20:04:12 Hi y'all! I'm a brand-new rider (just finished the MSF course and got the license), and a brand-new owner (just bought a 2005 S40). This old dog (49 years old) is learning a new trick...motorcycling! Yeehah! ;D |
Title: Re: Hi...new owner! Post by justin_o_guy2 on 04/20/12 at 20:23:17 Great! Good goin,, ride smart,, Okay,, where are ya,, how many miles on it, what service has been done,, all that stuff.. |
Title: Re: Hi...new owner! Post by gcsdls on 04/21/12 at 05:08:32 I'm in Arkansas, it's got 10,626 miles on it, and as far as service goes, I don't really know. It has new tires and front brakes, and just had the oil changed...but I don't know anything more than that. It seems to run good...the guy didn't have a manual, so I don't even know what service was due when, and whether it was done or not. I'll get the manual, then ask the previous owner. They're good people...seem to be, anyway. :-) Thanks for the welcome! |

Title: Re: Hi...new owner! Post by gcsdls on 04/21/12 at 09:59:24 That's awesome! Thanks so much! I was thinking I'd have to shell out some $ for the manual from the dealer.... :-) And I've been enjoying the pics from the Photo CD this morning...that's GREAT! |
Title: Re: Hi...new owner! Post by mpescatori on 04/23/12 at 05:11:38 I've taken the liberty of downloading what's available from the link myself, and have noticed that the average Savage rider is "the discriminating gentleman" 8-) as opposed to the whizz-kid astride his crotch rocket or the tattoed Popeye riding his modified Harley. ;) What we need now is a motorcade of Savage riders all kitted out in tailcoat and top hat !!! :D |
Title: Re: Hi...new owner! Post by WD on 04/23/12 at 15:28:11 Arkansas? I'm about an hour northeast of Memphis. Trying to put together a Dixieland Savage Gathering sometime this summer. Strictly a laid back for fun thing. Four people, five bikes here. Welcome to the group. |
