Title: Idle Speed ? Post by 223fan on 04/15/12 at 17:40:43 My bike is a 2012 with 250 miles on it and when it is warmed up the idle speed seems realy high to me.I've turned the idle down a bit is there a way for me to check it for propper idle speed and will it do anything to the bike if I have it to slow.The only other bike I've ever had was a 650 VStar and the idle is a lot faster than that bike.Thanks. |

Too high,.. will just sound too high, and it might cost you an MPG or two if you idle a lot... Er on the high side ... the low, loping, idle is a popular fad, but it ain't good fer' yer' bike... Title: Re: Idle Speed ? Post by TestPro on 04/16/12 at 14:00:35 I have a tachometer on my ’06 and it idles just on the high side of 1000rpm when warmed up. It tends to creep up if I add a "shot" of SeaFoam but goes back to normal on the next tank full. |
