Post by highlander10 on 03/27/12 at 11:31:06

Hello savages,
i want to make a side mount for the license plate.
I can't find though the topic and i am sure that someone else did it. Actually i am only interested in the way of bringing the cables down there since i want also light on my plate.

Blue Collar Bobbers makes a kit for side license plate and tail light on top. Maybe they can sell you only the parts you need.

I usually just run the wires right down the shock/strut.If you're running shocks, allow enough loose wire so when the shocks are at full extension it's not stretching the wires.

You need two pieces of metal.  A L-shaped bracket that attaches under your axle nut and another metal piece large enough to hold your plate and light.  Bolt or weld the two together.  You can use your existing light and add extra wire.
