My Savage luggage is a gym bag, glued & sewn onto thin plywood with D-rings on webbing sewn in so it straps on the back lengthways, hangs out over the light. I can pack loads of stuff in that thing. |

Best made synthetic is River Road, although the buckles rust pretty quick. Best leather is... wait for it... synthetic. Best looking? Willie and Max, but I hope you know how to sew... the seams are not rolled in and the thread they use is pretty flimsy. I took mine apart, put welting (burgundy vinyl over string trimmer line, hand sewn) in the seams, sewed it together inside out. Turn it right side out and use some rivets to reattach the liner (corrugated plastic). |
