Title: New member here
Post by vineman on 03/18/12 at 21:51:37

Hey, so I'm one of the new guys around here but only according to my join date. I've actually been creepin around for the past year now and have enjoyed reading over almost every topic that shows up on the board. My ride is a 2007 s40 with 4000 awesome miles and I'm planning on adding even more as long I can ride. This is my first bike, got it from my folks who used to ride together but now my mother would rather ride in back than on her own so now i use it. I've already done the chain conversion, Harley muffler, K&N cone, and re-jet and I'm still lookin for more to do. I'm not really looking to get her to crazy speeds but rather where I can get out of a sticky situation quick if need be. Thought about doing a bore and stage one cam but haven't really decided yet. And on that note, i was curious if lancer had atarted back up with his/youre  part distribution. I remember hearing about the accident and as far as i can tell he's fine which I am so glad to hear!  Well i guess thats about it from me. Hopefully the picture of "Ruby" shows up. ;)

I appreciate your stated concern for my wellbeing, and yes I am doing well.  My body has healed from the damage of the accident.  Of course there are always residual issues when the body has been hurt and my lower back is that way.  But fortunately it does not inhibit doing things; just slows me down a bit with aches & such.

You mentioned wanting to be able to get out of sticky situations when needed.  Cracking the throttle open and having the bike jump on command can be very handy at times.  It does add a measure of extra security.  It does require engine mod's to make it perform that way though.  Each of the changes available adds to the "jump" that you will get.  How much jump you want depends on how much you want to do.

...and how much you are willing to spend. You can throw a lot of dough at those last few horses.

Haha pic must not have shown up right considering the bike is red; of course you could be pulling my leg in which I am very gullible in new company.  :P

Ya the money thing has been an issue but I throw what I can at her when I find the time and money. Mostly has been comfort mods.
