My question would be...Can I change the electrics inside the engine on a newer model with the older electrics to match the older harness. Like '87 electrics in a '95 engine.

Post by verslagen1 on 03/06/12 at 07:13:52 Yes you can. see the tech section for the ignition. no big deal really, just swap the flywheel. most bikes have the same alternator, but I think some of the '90 thru '94 euro models may have had a different one.  Check the number of wires in the rectifier.
