I like the look and feel of my drag bars, I tried clips from my brothers bike, but they were a little low for my bike.

Too low to be at all comfortable with the forward foot position...

I'm too old and inflexible to touch my toes for that long... :-?...

Pics and maybe some close ups of the mods would be great.
Not to knock the folks on here that fab forwards but those look like they only stretch you out a bit which is what I was looking for...plus I love the pegs

That's great! it looks like they basically bolt right to where the stock ones were. Did ya just have to drill a hole in the plate?

added - which kit did you get?

made up new plate and cut back bolts to motor mounts.depending on what length you want may need longer brake cable. my set controls are for a xs650 .it comes with longer plates but i made my own because they were a little long for my leg length. my plates are welded to the frame

Looks good, nice find. TC bros is a good source for builder parts.

You cant get much cleaner than that. Looks darn good. And probably 1/3 stock weight. Hows the vibration with that set up? Do ya get a foot masage or what?

Check out hardknock bobbers for cheap oldschool springer forks. They have a kit for their bikes for a couple hundred that im fairly sure will work. Rotor and brake bracket too. Ive been meaning to call for a while. They also got 21 inch spokes and whitewalls for dirt cheep. If you have the time check em out. They wont know if it fits a savage but find out what the specs are on their frame. i bet itd fit with a little coersion. If it works out pm me so i can go that way too. My only reservation is that my rear is slightly lower than yours...changing the rake and trail. A springer will change the trail and add a few inches out. Itd probably be fine but i'd do a calculation with the part in hand and see what the trail will be. Check here: Www.Kikker5150.com

what kind of drag bars are those?  looks like they have a bit of rearward sweep, not just perfectly straight?

are they 1" to fit the stock mounts?
