Hi Everyone i just joined the board i just picked up a 1986 roller with 3/4 of a motor i am going to build a Cafe Racer  with it Previous cafe projects have been 1972 Suzuki GT 550 with ZX6 forks wheels brakes ETC  and a 1977 Suzuki GS 750 with 850cylinders ,head, carbs  Hand made single seat both bikes where featured in Cycle Canada Magazine also restored a 1972 BMW R75/5 SWB and a 1975 Suzuki RE 5 Rotary  next project is the savage .

Welcome!  There have been several in recent discussions but I would recommend looking in the Tech forum.

HEY THERE! Welcome aboard.
I can't wait to see what your plans are. I've been working on a project too: not strictly cafe bike, but close. We've been calling it a VINTAGE ROADSTER. Got a lot of ideas from the RYCA guys; used their guidelines for most of the suspension and geometry stuff, etc. Great guys, and there are several build threads here from guys who are doing Ryca conversions. Each one is different; MotoBuddah's is especially spectacular.

Mine got stalled out over the holidays and the dead of winter, but here's a link to the thread. Still plenty of time to get it finished by Spring! :D

Your GS looks awesome! I'd love to see pictures of your GT55 too if you have any to post... I love those old two-strokes....

That's a grainy pic, but the bike looks great! I bet you're going to do a bang-up job with your Savage.
Be sure to post up some pics, and start up a build thread for us!
Cheers!
