You fellas think a high compression piston designed for a DR650 will fit with the LS650? I'm not looking for a big bore kit, just a high compression piston for the stock bore.

ProCycle has sooo much motor stuff for the DR650, including drop-in high comp pistons. http://www.procycle.us/bikepages/dr650.html

I've been talking to Bare Bones Racing in Colorado (barebones.net), who specialize in hot rodding single cylinder motorcycles, and they say they're not only willing to hop up a LS650, they're quite enthusiastic.
