Title: Savage coming home
Post by Toymaker on 01/02/12 at 05:31:26

Well it is official...my savage is coming home.  In late October, I gave my savage to my son in VA.  He is in the Navy and he and the missus needed another vehicle to get around.  So since the wifey was getting a newer Vulcan 750 and I have my 900 Classic, I thought giving the Savage to the boy would fix the situation.  Apparently not....he didn't like it.  My guess is he'd rather get a squid bike than a free motorcycle.  Oh well, the savage belongs to me and will be home on Saturday.

Cool...

It may not suit a young man, with sharp reflexes & a need for excitement, & "The Guys" mite rib him a bit, riding a 32 HP machine that will hardly hit 100 MPH.

You can never have too many friends at a table or bikes in a garage!  [smiley=thumbup.gif]

You know...I got to thinkin'. It was a stretch, but I did it. Harleys have been around for years with around 50 hp until a few years back. Think about it...I know it's a stretch, but try it. A big ol' mc with a vibrating vee somewhere around 50 hp more or less and an image. With our little 352 lb bikes and around 30 hp or less, and our image, whatever it is. And those HD's top out close to where we do. I have consistently been surprised at the low top end speed of many super bikes of the last 30 years. By low I mean less than 120. Many were real tire shredding machines and canyon carvers with top speed in the 100 mph range. They ain't got nothing on us, especially with our Icy Hot/Ben-Gay holders and denture pouches.  ;)
