It ain't our fault we done worn the edges off the infamous Dragon and all the surrounding roads .... I saw a sand covered road that wasn't as challenging as the Cherohala Skyway, just in much much worse repair. The condition of the road reminded me of the Diamondback -- sorta falling off the mountain in places. We need some better East Coast road porn !!! |

Haven't been back so don't have a clue as to how is my have changed. The one down the East side of Mt. St. Helens will give you thrills also, no guard rails and a long, long way down. One does not want to sight see for sure. Another one is one that that FSSNOC (Four Stroke Single Owners Club) did for lunch one day in the far SE corner of WA State. South of Asotin. Down one side on WA and to OR on the way up the other. Great milkshake cafe at the bottom. Think it was called rattlesnake grade. Our thrill of the day was 6 old Brit Thumpers coming down and back up the other side single file just thumping away. Even with their weird fishtail exhaust with side holes they mad beautiful music. There were times on our last ride when a" challenge" and the" speed-limit" were not that far apart. I still haven't seen the norther end. What are the odds of picking-up riders along the way ? Anybody else llike that idea ? :) |

Post by Oldfeller on 12/15/11 at 21:00:49 I only saw one section of parkway that was good enough for being called a challenge, that was the last little bit of the big loop of parkway heading into the place we stayed the first night. You never saw it, you came in from the Dollywood side of things .... We have ridden a lot of neat roads up there -- I am afraid we have done all the really choice roads. Mebbie we take Zuk up on the ski mountains around Boonish ??? |

It was a glorious 66 degree day with blue sky. I think that Serowbot posted a video of this ride a while back. I never get enough road porn. |

I really want a camera and keep looking for used on CL, but need a rear tire I can't afford, either. I've seen some digitals in Sam's club for around $100 but don't know anyone who has tried them. Info Please? BTW, I don't ride road porn, because I don't want the timeing chain to swing over and rub a hole in my side cover. ;D |
