Title: Re: Brrrrr Post by Arnold on 12/01/11 at 08:38:45 Yea, rode to work in NY yesterday morning in low 40s. This morning even colder... no way. That might have been the last run of the year. |
Title: Re: Brrrrr Post by drums1 on 12/01/11 at 16:01:05 I was in Denver in the late 80's. It was in mid-September. It was 98* and humid as hell, at 8 am. Thank God we spent the day up in RMNP. There was barely any snow left above the tree line that year. Up at almost 12,000 ft., by the Lava Cliffs, we found a small patch of snow. Enough to have a snowball fight. In short sleeves. When we got back down to Denver that evening, it was still over 90*. You just never know. |

Title: Re: Brrrrr Post by kimchris1 on 12/01/11 at 19:02:15 No snow here at our house, yet it has been cold and rainy for the most part. Their has been some nice sunny days yet temps still cold. Day temps are in the 40's and it takes most of the day for it to get there. This weekend is the toy run and not too sure if were doing it or not. Will depend on if and how hard it freezes Friday evening.. I am already looking forward to Spring.. :) kim |

Title: Re: Brrrrr Post by EJID on 12/15/11 at 11:57:46 A balmy 32.8o at lunchtime, so I rode the bike back to work. Sitting in my office now with my space heater on drinking another mug of hot coffee wondering what it will be like when I ride home again about dusk? Maybe I can get a pic of my bike in front of the neighbor's Huge Frickin Christmas display and close another Scavenger Hunt while I'm at it :-? |

About 10 years ago I visited family in Texas for the Christmas holiday and we put up lights and cleaned up pine needles in the yard wearing t-shirts and shorts. Even went to a zoo one day wearing short sleeve shirts as well. Not like any Christmas I had ever experienced before. |
Title: Re: Brrrrr Post by Trippah on 12/15/11 at 16:50:52 Subbing as a school bus driver here in Mass yesterday, slid on an ice swath about 30 feet long on the back side of a hill..glad I wasn't riding the bike. ;D |
