Title: Gear: Zippers Vs Loops Post by Sam7.62 on 10/19/11 at 14:37:22 I recently got a pair of riding pants and jacket. The jacket has the loops that go on a belt,no zipper on the back. The pants I go have a zipper on the back to attach to a jacket, they also have loops the I can use with the jacket. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and would it be worth it to sew in a zipper attachment on my jacket? I broke one of loops the on the pants with a quick tug.(very thin) On the jacket side the snaps are easily undone and a b!tch to hook onto a belt. Would any of this even help in the event of a slid? Look at the 5mins of your life gone :) |

When I crashed my Ninja,.. the waist of my jacket ended up bunched up under my shoulder blades... no zipper or snap would have held... I didn't get any road rash, because the bunched up jacket held my back off the pavement... but I did get a football sized bruise on my left kidney from the jacket being pushed up... Is your jacket textile, or leather?... Mine was heavy leather,... it held up very well... |
