Title: Hey everyone...
Post by kimchris1 on 10/16/11 at 20:40:22

Hello everyone, sorry to not have been here much.
I have made some major changes to my life and
it leaves me little time to be here as often as I
once was.
I joined the gym Aug 1, and have been working out
there as well as I do Zumba 3 nights per week before
heading out to work.
Oh yeah finally got back to working nights and love it.
Have been working 40+hrs for last 3 weeks.
I have lost a total of 31 lbs since Aug 1.
I have a ton of energy that I didn't have before. I have
clothes that are too big now instead of too small.
My chaps are huge and yet won't replace them for awhile.
When I do replace them, they will be the pink ones I have
wanted for a few years.
After years of weight battle I think I may have finally got my
head screwed on straight.
I read labels and calorie contents. Then I think well I would have
to do the eliptical machine for so long, treadmill for so long,
stationery bike so long, then I say nahhh not worth it.. lol
Now that I have been back to work as of Sept 27th, the gym
time has had to change. Instead of early a.m. I now go in
the afternoon or even the evenings when I don't have Zumba
before work. I have to get that in as just don't feel right not
to.
I am not looking for pats on the back or high 5's. I just wanted
to share my good news with all my friends.
Last sunner and Fall I had been walking 6 miles in the a.m. Then
the cold, wet nasty weather came. I stopped exercising and kept
eating.
Now with the gym, no matter the weather, I can exercise. Oh and I
am doing weights as well. Also with the work I do that is like another
workout in itself..
Oh darn, time to get going to work.. Night everyone.. Hugs all, will
try and get back soon..  :-* :-* kim

Ohh & BTW,, I wouldnt be here hardly ever IF I was in better shape, So, youre doing exactly what I would do, if I could,, Id stay outta here & apply my energies to things that need done, You dont owe anyone an apology,, it is nice to hear the reason we dont see you, tho, Now, watch what you eat & drink, no diet drinks, aspartame is bad, Avcoid MSG, it attacks your body,, when scientists need a Huge Fat mouse, they inject MSG into babies, avoid GMO stuff,, When Im done with the Organic Corn I have stored, Im done with corn, [period. I dont eat corn at the restaurant, its all polluted with Monsatans GMO stuff now.,even Organics are polluted by pollen drift. Avoid the High Fructose corn sweetener laden foods. Thats GMO AND a lousy sweetener,

Stevia is a decent sweetener, agave syrup is, honey works in places,

Well,, good luck, stay trim & fit & be careful.

Be very careful JOG,I is see in you future you have very few years to live,Because you have no decent food to eat,And you didn't train your body to eat the modern foods.

way to go Kim - we are both in the same place - I have lost 25 since Sept 20 - had a "hooey-event" while traveling to Massachusetts on business - it was a "wake up call".....got my attention and i am doing a lot better and the way i am doing it is sustainable. Glad to hear you found your way to deal with the issue - I will be throwing in the exercise once i get another 50 off - the knees cant take much yet.

Good goin', sis.  It's all about lifestyle.  Don't focus on knocking the pounds off, work on setting those new habits and enjoy the ride.  Consider bicycling, swimming, and cross country skiing - cheap, healthy, and fun!   :)

Congrats!

More gym time, less computer time is not a bad trade-off.

Ain't it strange how using more energy gives you more energy?

Been wondering about you!  Glad you checked in.  And glad you're back to work and working out too.  That's great!  I give you a pat on the back anyway, and encourage you to keep it up.  Support is always good, so keep us posted!

And don't forget, we want pics of the new pink wardrobe when you get there!   ;)

Great job Kim!
Hopefully I will get back to dance in a few more months and then get my weight back to normal again.
Radiation finished last Friday, and now I have huge burned raw areas so dance is out until that all heals up.

Glad to hear your new wardrobe choice - don't forget to post pics for us!  :)
