Title: Lights half working
Post by mr.HUBA on 10/12/11 at 03:40:08

I noticed the front left turn light does not work as a runnig light. But will blink wheb engaged as a turn signal.
(it blinks much faster than the right blinker)
Then the rear left turn signal just wont work at all.
(ive tried replacing the rear left turn bulb but it didnt work)
The whole right side of lights work fine.
Is it time to replace the set of lights?

Replace the front left bulb, and check for corrosion in the rear left socket. One of the filaments has blown in the front, and you put another bad bulb in the rear, or corrosion is causing the bulb not to light. This will cause the front to blink faster.

Be sure the one for the front is a double element (1157) & the rear is a single element (1156). This should be correct if you have stock turn signals. 8-)

When your signal lights blink fast that means one of the lights are out.

Check your bulb also check the connectors under the seat.

One of the 2 filaments in your front left bulb could be burned. Replace that bulb and see if it solved the problems. The rear turn signal could be getting power from the front (through low filament), which explains your rear light not working only on that side. Let us know what happens. I'm interested.
