Small pics,.. but nice... ;)...

Is there something strange about your brake master cylinder?...

Nothing strange at all. It requires a mirror on the right or left side. So i put a convex mirror that moves/adjust like a normal one.

Is that what you were meaning?

Do you not have rearview mirrors? How do you keep an eye on the idiots coming up on your butt at too high a rate of speed so you can get out of the way if need be?

No i do not have mirrors on my bike. I just keep looking around every few sec or so. When i wear a helmet is when i wish i had mirrors. But without the hemet on it is so easy to use your Peripheral vision.

I'm pretty sure at least one mirror is required in Texas.  Even if you don't find it necessary for safety, you might consider one just so you don't get hassled by the po-po.

Those Acerbis/UFO type mirrors work fine and are very small.. Mom out.

Well, technically he has a mirror. Course, being one that is not readily seen could get him into a few conversations with leos, something some of us have learned to avoid whenever possible. A lot like putting your inspection sticker where it can't easily be seen. No good can come from agravating officers of the law.  :(

I would be willing to bet Mario is a young man.  ::)

When I was young I often did such things.........and paid the consequences. :o

Oh there it is.  ;D  It took a minute to find it.  The Acerbis mirror is about the same size, but in a somewhat useable (and visible to LEOs) position. There is another one called the Dual-star that is said to hold a more steady image, but I never tried one.

The mirror behind the master cylinder is probably good enough to avoid a ticket, if Mario does not mind being pulled over in the first place.

The problem is you get pulled over for something stupid like no license light or mirror or an obscured tag. Then they have reason to run all their checks & the next thing you know you get a ticket OR worse, cuffed & stuffed. These days you can have something on your record you don't know about & you end up in jail. My SIL got stopped & a handgun she had purchased legally from a gun shop came back as stolen. Luckily for her, she had the paperwork to prove it but it still took several hours to clear. If she hadn't had an officer who believed her she would have went to jail & had her vehicle impounded. :-?

Whenever possible, just don't give them a reason to stop you & avoid the hassle. 8-)

Thanx for the concern guys. I understand about the cops sometimes being "richard craniums" at times. I have riden that bike off & on since 2008 till the last two weeks with no mirrors at all. That is from alb. New Mexico to NOLA. Never got a glance from a policeman. But had to put that little mirror on just to pass Texas inspection. Since it was my dads bike and he had a 8 year reg. on it, (he couldn't ride anymore) i just kept up the insurance. Now that he is gone I have to change it over to my name.

P.S. I am a 38 year old adolescent at times...
