Oh wow.. that is great.. the only thing I don't like about it is the tribal paint... I'd cover it up in a hurry, but that's just my opinion... other wise I'm keeping my eye on that bike for when I need a upgrade for more cross country purposes  :D

Holy crap.. I just read the engine specs... you are one lucky guy!

Here's the one I want!

After two days of riding I can report that the bike is very easy to ride at normal speeds and just as easy to ride at higher speeds.  Taking off slowly is a little trickier.  I was pulling out from being angle parked in front of the Post Office and had to go slowly and make about an 80 decree turn with a lane of traffic about four feet away and it wanted to roll back or go like hell.  I should have waited til the traffic went by and then I would've had plenty of room.  No big problem just a little awkward and a little embarrassing if any one was watching.  Fortunately the solution is just ride more and get used to it and I'm up for all the riding I can get in.

It has the most comfortable seat I've ever sat on.  The quality and workmanship just keeps looking better and better.

The S50 will become my little bike and the mini-bagger/cafe/bobber is up for sale.

Nice to have a "HEAVY" cruser and  also a  "LIGHT" cruser.

Its hard to think 146 HP. isn't enough !     Thats a GREAT looking bike.

Congratuations !!!

I like the Roadster version of the Rocket III.  It has the footpegs back in a more normal position.  The bike approximates a "standard" like I grew up with, rather than a cruiser/boulevard bike.

I rode a Roadster and was very disappointed with the peg position.  Too much bend in my knees.  That's the main reason I started looking at older ones.

I road a Roadster and was instantly pleased with the peg position. Just the right bend in my knees.

Finally!,.. a Rocket III with pegs like all the standard bikes I have known and loved for 50 years.

I get quite annoyed with the poser-esque "forward" controls.  They put more of the weight of your legs on your butt, reduce the control you have over the bike, force you into an unnatural sit up and beg riding position, and (opinion) look silly.

I have arthritis in my hips (among other places) and the forward controls help with that a lot.

Does it sound as good as a Valkyrie? I love it. Are you going to re-jet, seat mod, Harley muffs, K&N filters, Big Crank, de-badge, bob job, Dunlop 404s?  ;D Good for you! Enjoy, and don't forget us little people.
