Title: Heads Up!
Post by Wolfman on 09/21/11 at 23:15:14

Keep your eyes on the sky about Friday or else you might get konked in the head by some space junk...lol
Nasa thinks the UARS satellite will fall to earth somewhere around Friday.
Your odds of getting hit are a LOT better then winning the lottery. 1 in 3200. Your odds of winning the lottery are something like 1 in a 100 million.  :D

The odds of "someone" getting hit are 1/3200. The odds of a specific individual getting hit are much less.

What are the odds if we all stay indoors and make the bankers and politicians play outside?

Yes,... I'm definitely staying indoors...
...that 1/2" plywood and tarpaper roof will keep me safe... :-?...

Roughly 280,000,000 people in the US which makes YOUR odds of getting hit 1 in 8750.
6,000,000,000 people in the world makes YOUR odds 1 in 18,750

STILL better then winning the lottery. Im wearing me helmet all day friday.  :D

Hmmm, last i heard they said they could'nt predict where until 2 hours before reentry because it was wobbling in it orbit.
Supposedly being off by even 15 minutes would change its impact footprint by 3-5,000 miles.
Something like 24 pieces are supposed to be big enough to survive reentry.

Now where did i leave that shovel? Need to go dig a hole to hide in...lol

No, 1 in 3200 to hit anyoned divide by world population is about 1 in 22 trillion for you to get hit. Junk shower should cover about a 500 mile radius, that's nice.

My wife has a nice collection of antique iron skillets. She calls the collection her ammunition. You guys figure that out.
