Post by justin_o_guy2 on 09/16/11 at 23:27:21 Lets use a car, say it weighs 4,000 pounds, on 16 inch rims & a 4" tall sidewall tire, Total tire height 22".. 11" radius to center of axle, The brakes are working on slowing the 4,000 pounds with the leverage against them being an 11" radius, Now, lets go tall,, 30", 15" radius, now, the brakes are trying to harness the mass of the car & the car now has more leverage aginst the brakes. Thats just my opinion,, it mite be off by a million miles,, |
