Title: Another incidece of exellent customer service.
Post by arteacher on 09/13/11 at 15:35:11

On July 26 I ordered a tank bib from Chilhowee Motorcycle leather in Oregon. They made it, sent it and it didn't fit. I e-mailed them with pictures and a pattern of the instrument cluster (the hole was too small). They told me they wold make another using my template, and to throw the one they had sent me in the trash. A few days later the worker on the floor who was charged with making it called me to confirm my measurements and to discuss some things he had noticed in the pics.
I got the new one today, earlier than promised, and it fit perfectly.
They did not require that I return the defective one and I received the best possible service from them.
Check them out at  www.chilhowee.net

It is so nice that things worked out so well.
Best form of advertisment is from the mouth
of a satisfied or dissatisfied customer.
This shows the company really cares about
how well their customers are satisfied. :) kim

I always liked that one but didn't want to spend the bucks.  If the one they left you with could be modified (I'm a decent seamstress), I'd consider buying it from you, at a discount, of course   ;)

Show us a pic of it on your bike, if you get a chance!

And gotta love that good customer service.

I thought about changing it too, but to do the stitching you would need an industrial sewing machine capable of sewing 3/16 leather. I have a small industrial machine, but 3/16 would kill it.
Also the hole needed was just a bit smaller than the stitching they applied in some places. If you cut the hole to the right size some of the old stitching (or the holes if you ripped the stitches) would show.
