Somehow I don't think Pirelli had us in mind when they designed this tire, and this promotional video...

I guess our Savages just aren't badass enough for a NIGHT DRAGON :'(

I wanted to share this because it made me laugh. It is clearly a video marketed toward those Harley rider types that take "THE LIFESTYLE" thing way too far.

And speaking of Pirelli, I'm thinking of going with the MT66 rear today. My IRC has lasted about 7000miles and can't take much more (I'm at 7500 miles)

When I had that Husky 610 (sexiest bike ever BTW) a neighbor's wife came over to it, put her hand on the back tire and said "Oh, I like this!" while running her fingers along the tread.

That is the most extreme tire experience I have ever had, excluding crashes. :D

I had a laugh when the sponsor pop up came about as "ULTIMATE GROUND ANCHOR"

All I could think of was using my old stock muffler and dragging it behind the bike with THE DRAGON and seeing who would fare out better...

got a Pirelli "Road Runner" on the front and Love it. Sticks like glue and the word smoth doin't do it justics.
BigZuk had a 66 on the back of his but the 160 was too big for ridding two up as I understand it.

That one commercial was clearly meant for the "rich guys ride Harley" target audience.

I got my Pirelli MT66 put on today. I don't have the necessary tools to take the wheel off myself, so shipped the tire from Motorcycle Superstore to a local MC repair guy. His listed cost was $20 to mount a tire, $45 if he had to take the tire off the bike and put it back on. I got there at 9:30am, he got started at 9:50 after helping out another guy, and I left at 12:20pm. It's a good thing I'm a very patient person.

Nearly 2 and a half hours to change my rear tire :o
He had never worked with a Savage and Sammy (my bike) didn't want to cooperate very much. I bet that's the hardest he's worked for a mere $45 in quite a while. He even had to put on SEVEN 1OZ weights to balance my wheel properly! He didn't charge me for those, because we hadn't talked about paying for that before hand.

I was going to make a 150mile ride today to a gorgeous beach south of here, but now it's too late in the day for me to do all I wanted. Blah.

I'm happy to not be on a SLICK 10 year old rear tire that was cracked and dry with virtually no tread left at 7500miles. Can't wait to get this broken in and get back to leaning over far.

quite a bit of weight. Did he put the tire on upside down?
there's a little circle that supposed to be the light side of the tire.
you put that next to the valve stem.
