Title: Vacuum Line
Post by genejohnson on 09/07/11 at 16:13:17

Does anyone know of a source for the petcock vacuum line? All I can find is real thick walled stuff locally. I can see why they used such thin walled tubing as space for it is at a premium.

Size by the ID and get as thick and as strong and as durable a vac line as you possibly can (you will need it).    Use hose clamps too.

That way when you stop flowing enough gas you will be clear as to why that is happening -- no vac line "confusion" to muddle the water.

If it was thin walled it would tend to collapse when vacuum was applied, especially with the sharp turn it has to make. Only other option was cloth reinforced lines that we used to have. The last stuff I got from the local dealer was gray plastic looking rather than black rubber put seems to be holding up fine on the bagger. Max
