I'm sorry to say after 20 months of fighting, my brother lost his battle with leukemia this morning. He put up a heck of a fight and we thought he had it beat twice, but in the end his age and secondary infections swung the odds against him. He passed peacefully this morning at home surrounded by family as he wanted.
I wanted to thank all the good folks on this forum for their support and prayers. Your encouragement has made a tough time more bearable.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. I also recently lost my "adopted" grandfather to cancer on the 1st, so I know what you're going through. Take care my friend! :'(

We will all follow him, it's just a matter of time. I truly hope that his life before the illness was a good and happy one.
You will always have cherished memories of your times together, and he will live forever in your heart, and the hearts of all who loved him.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts. I just figured I ought to let you know as I know several of you have asked about him over the past year. John was the "other ribbon" my bike sported besides Skat's. He had a pretty rough road and I guess his age was against him on this one! The support and comaraderie of this site is like no other bike site I've found and I appreciate you all for what you bring to this place. I'll probably take a little time off to "think and drink" as someone said awhile back, but its good to know you've got good company out on the road like you all! Take care and keep the rubber side down!

My condolences.I have a few people around me that are dealing/dealt with it.They are why a friend of mine has me do his bike.Done with feeling.

Brothers are a very special gift and I love mine greatly. This is certainly a very painful time for you, Dan. Let the grieving process take its healthy course. Hang on to the memories, they are yours forever. Blesssings to you and your family.
