It would be interesting to find out what the weighted average age is for the posters here.

By weighted average, I mean taking the number of posts per member, multiplying that number by the poster's age, and totaling up all the posts X ages and dividing by the number of posts.

As a simple example:
-- Thimbledorf is 60 and he posts 100 posts. 60x100 = 6000
-- Knowitall is 30 and he posts 10 posts. 10x30 = 300
-- 6000 + 300 = 6300 total posts times ages
-- 100 +10 = 110 total posts
-- 6300 / 110 = 57.3 weighted average age for all posts.

The idea is that if the more elderly of us are doing most of the posting, the age-weighted average will be higher. If the toddlers do more posting, the weight average will be lower.

I wonder if the forum software has this capability somewhere.

How 'bout we go by weight?,... since it'll be a weighted average in the end, anyway...

Simply chronological age. The forum software would have no way to assess/track your mental age. I doubt the range of allowable numbers goes that low.
