Title: Can a loose clutch strip your gears easily? Post by built2last66 on 08/23/11 at 16:10:58 Hi, as a first time bike owner I've noticed when I go from 2nd gear through neutral to 1st gear (gear slipping) sometimes you can hear the gear not catching until I push real hard. I think I finally figured out that the owner before me didn't have the clutch tight enough, which I have adjusted myself. So I was just wondering, could I have been damaging/stripping the gears with a loose clutch and that "slipping" sound shifting into 1st gear? Should I be worried about this? :-? |
