Post by groupus on 08/20/11 at 22:36:11

may or may not have come into possession of this little beauty for pretty much a song and dance this weekend at the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle meet in York, PA.

obviously, i'm going to try to turn it into a sweet cafe. problem is, it is not running and has no title. gonna try to get it to crank over tomorrow. does anyone know much about these? its a SOHC inline 4, a real beast back in the day. also, any info on getting a title in PA would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all,
-G

I'm drooling.  Those CB 750's are absolute monsters given the engineering they use, and with a little love can be turned into a real weapon.  A site called Cycle X (http://www.cyclexchange.net/) has a lot of engine upgrades for sale, and if you've got the inclination and/or talent you can buy the parts or get the full rebuild done for you.  I've been lusting after one of the hotrod engine rebuilds they do with the double intake and carb setup they offer for a long time now.  Throw that in a cafe racer or bobber (I loves me some konged frame bob's  :D) and I'm kinda scart how fast it'd run.  I mean just look at the racer they're building for their own race team!

Had me a '70 for a while in the '80's. I never pushed it to anywhere near it's limit, but I remember it as bullet proof.

looks like a four into one pipe
do you know if it is an "F" or a "K" model?

I am curious how many miles it has on it? I remember them as being Bulletproof! I also remember them as Harley Killers!

cb750cafe.com.  Carpy is the Godfather of the cafe cb750 and a hell of a nice guy.  you can call and talk to him and he will talk you through a problem, lend advice, or tell you whatever you need to know about turning these into a cafe.

There is nothing in the world that sounds as good to me as a CB750 or Z-1 Kawi with four into one Kerker exhaust, unless it's my wife rattling pans in the kitchen. Especially the biscuit tray.  ;D
