Our helmet locks are unusable due to our saddlebags. My husband fabricated up a helmet lock cable for each bike.It works well and no more fighting with the bike lock.

A gun lock has a long flexible loop. Makes lockin a helmet to the bars real easy,

Do yourself a favor and take your helmet with you.  Locking it to the bike is asking fro trouble.  I have seen helmets pissed and puked in outside pubs.  I have heard many stories about the straps being cut and helemts stolen outside a store.  I wouldn't trust my helmet out on a helmet lock.

I usually leave my helmet on the mirror. If someone wants my smelly old helmet that bad, they can have it. Of coarse I live in NH where helmet use is optional so not too many helmet thieves here. And if someone did take mine, I can just ride home without one.

If someone was stealin my helmet when I came out, theyd better be able to get their head in it, cuz Im gonna be doin my best to hurt them,

If someone can pee in my helmet when its locked to my handlebars & sitting on the tank, Im problee gonna let him..

Psychologically,.... (okay,... just talkin' through my hat here)...
If your helmet is locked,... a thief assumes you are away for some time and at some distance...

I leave my helmet hangin' on the bars, gloves laying on the headlight, and even packages sitting out in open...  Thieves will assume I'm close by, and bigger than crap...
I occasionally even forget and leave my key in the ignition... ;D...

'Course,... there is the possibility that nobody wants my stuff... :-?...

I mostly perch my helmet on top of the sissy bar - hasn't been bothered, but then again my helmet's about the cheapest you can get!

I dont worry about my helmet where I live.  Small town, etc.  Plus its all girly, white with purple butterflies on it.  I wouldnt mind getting a thin cable to lock it to the Ol Man's bike when we take road trips though.  Just havent gotten around to it yet.  Most peeps (esp Harley peeps) dont wear helmets so why would they steal one?  Some of the younger punks that just like to be a$$holes I guess.  No helmet laws here in Iowa so Im in the minority in wearing a helmet.  Oh well, to each their own.  But at the end of a ride Im not the one picking bugs out of my teeth either.  ;D
