Hey guys. I've seen plenty of information about rejetting the carb, but where can I get jets without paying $65 for a Dyna Jet Kit?
I just bought a used Harley Dyna muffler for $10 and I wanna get this ball rolling. I just wasn't expecting to pay that much for a couple ounces of metal, I'm a cheapskate.

I agree. Jets are about $3-5. You can buy them at your dealer. Many on here have them and can tell you places to buy online. A good bike shop will have a handful of generic jets in stock, since a lot of them race. Take your old jet in and tell them you want one like it in whatever size you need. You may just need to remove or change the thickness on the carb spacer. Congrats on the $10 muffler. I don't know about cheap, but I'm not extravagant or stupid. Wait a minute...Just heard from my wife. I am cheap--but generous with what I've saved by being cheap. ;D

Thanks Boofer. I know of a few local shops I can look into. I just need to go there knowing what size jets I need. Time to take down some notes from the other threads. The muffler is in great shape and still shiny chrome. I can't wait to hear and see it on my Sammy.

how'd you do with mounting it? I am in the process of installing a sporty muffler in it. gunna pound it out so its a straight pipe, and figure out the best way to install it.

i had trouble finding a dealer that would work with me nearby, so I found http://www.nichecycle.com/ which is pretty decently priced and has a good selection.

jetsRus.com is where I get all my jets.. usually 3 to 6 bucks apiece, depending on if they're genuine mikuni/keihin/whatever or the knockoffs.

It might be better to go with a dealer (at maybe $10/jet ) if they will let you swap for larger/smaller jets as you are tuning your carb.
