instead of trying to horse that wheel back up to the swing arm while trying to keep the hub on and the brake slot where it belongs..   try lowering the bike to the wheel.
1. Jack up bike high enough
2. Roll wheel under bike
3. put hub in wheel
4. lower bike a bit
5. line wheel up a bit, make sure brake arm is in it's slot

repeat 4 and 5 until you can put the axle in.

Did all that last weekend, although it takes some wiggling it is fairly easily done by yourself. Belt is a bit of pia also.

arthritis and neuropathy keep me getting r done by myself - I got the harbor freight jack stand best $25 i ever spent.......yes lowering the bike to the tire would be easier.....having a 23yr old assistant with muscles is my solution.
