Even stuff I like goes by the wayside when the advertising gets too dumbed down. At least the old guy was mostly right, FDR is a swear word around me. Whether the Anglicized version (Roosevelt) or the real (Marxist) version (Rosenfeldt). He was our first Marxist president. |

Post by weracerc on 08/11/11 at 06:44:55 seriously those cookies are NOTHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT!...the shelves around here stay empty of the tradional version - they have i think 4 versions of this new fangled cookie - I did find a bag of the kind in the commercial.....was greatly disapointed....the original OREO can not be touched by this new thing......dont waste your money. |

Incidentally, he is also the President who maintained the US neutral in WW2 until Dec.7, 1941. |

I shouldn't have brought it up. Let's say that (whether or not one agrees or approves) FDR is associated with (at least in the minds of some) the increase in size and scope of the US National Government in the 20th Century (which conservatives and libertarians oppose). Watch the History channel, you'll see the same programs in place 2-5 years sooner over there than they were implemented here. |
