Do drain all the gas out and do have an old bath towel handy to catch the remainder that will flow out when the old petcock comes off ..... Many of us do wait until we have the gas tank off while doing other routine maintenance like a valve adjustment .... but then we are old veteran Savagers who take care of everything on their bikes on a yearly schedule. |
