I rode my bike for a few hours yesturday. After riding for a long time it started spitting and hesitating alittle. I was just thinking that it was low on gas. This morning it will not start and spits thru the carb, sometimes hard enough to blow the choke out. when I hold the throttle open it will back fire. it has spark???? any ideals fellas???

Make sure you have at least a half tank of gas, then follow these steps in the order given .....

Have you ever checked the cam chain?
any strange noises?

It had some valve train noise, since I got it. I added a verslavy and adjusted the valves. After that it still had some.

I readjusted the valves. I checked the spark and it is a yellow spark instead of blue

check the battery voltage
then check the coil resistance.

It don't take much for the battery voltage to drop to the critical level.
check it and check while cranking.

I just had put a brand new plug in. ran fine yesterday, I bjust for giggles put the old one back nin and it fired right up. Crazy huh?
