I bought a savage for my wife to learn on. I had the needle replaced in the carb. After start up I have gas coming out of both vent tubes on the sides of the carb. Is this most likely my float sticking? Or could it be a bigger issue?

Yeah, I'd say it's the float valve.
But, do you have the vent tubes hanging down or are they stuck up in the frame?
That extra bit of height helps.

They were stuck up in the frame just under the seat. Thanks for the quick reply.
