Title: Sorry to Swear... Post by 23Skidoo on 07/24/11 at 05:58:15 I've inherited a Kwack EN500 (Vulcan) from my old man... He got it new in '93 and last rode it in 2001.. only 4K on the clock.. In mint condition apart from a more than rusty tank.... Not had the chance to ride it yet but I know I'm not going to like her... I've had my Sav for over 2 years and I just can't swap her for a Kwack... despite my squeeky belt.... ;) |

Title: Re: Sorry to Swear... Post by stinger on 07/25/11 at 03:32:07 your belt is too tight! you should be able to twist it at a 45 degree angle. mine will squeak a bit when wet but other than that, never. |

Title: Re: Sorry to Swear... Post by 23Skidoo on 07/25/11 at 14:33:29 I'm quite excited to have a new ride, but I think I'll stick to my thumper.. despite squeeky belt... lol... got a straight through slash cut that sounds louder than thunder but then comes the embarresing squeek squeek squeek.... ;D Don't think it's to tight.. I'll get some talc on it... |
Title: Re: Sorry to Swear... Post by arteacher on 07/25/11 at 14:43:29 I had belt squeak as well. I adjusted the tension so I can turn it 90 deg without too much effort. Then I centered it in the rear sprocket. No more squeak. |
