looking for others that have done the holes in muffler mod

im about do it soon as it cools down any does or donts???

i have asked this b4 just looking for last minute tips from the more exp people here

Get a Harley shorty muffler,... save 8lbs, and get a good tone...

Drill and see if you like it. It's not bad. But not great. Hd muffler sounds good.

Save the stock muffler, in case the law say you MUST have a stock muffler, spend 20 bucks & get a Dyna.

Why don't you guys tell him what a "direct fit" it is too ;D

I like the drilled stock, sounds nothing like a sewing machine whatsoever. It sounds like stock,....only louder.

If you drill like the picture I posted before, be careful when going thru,.....I didn't have any trouble, but someone said they hit stuff on the back that broke drill bit.

ok just did the driling holes like you posted! sounds ok! not to bad at all! really not that much louder! but i can hear it now drove it about 5 miles seems the same perfomance wise

I have never heard the Dana on this bike, but from all reports it is a little louder w/ baffle left in place, and also the best sounding. Also from many reports it can be difficult to get a good seal when installing this muffler.

Check youtube, bunch of Savages with all kind of different mufflers there.
