Title: Front axle bolt Post by Tiefighterpilot on 07/08/11 at 18:17:33 Can anyone tell me where the front axle bolt is located? I need to install a fork brace... Thanks. |
Title: Re: Front axle bolt Post by Edgar on 07/08/11 at 18:27:45 Do you mean the pinch bolt? If You need to remove the axle you have to remove the pinch bolt first, and it's on the bottom right fork. I just disassembled my whole front end so I can help, just no sure if I'm reading your question correctly |
Title: Re: Front axle bolt Post by MotoBuddha on 07/08/11 at 19:30:53 Yeah, the whole front axle is a bolt. Once the pinch bolt is loose, you crank it out like any other bolt. Only the left fork is threaded. The right one has a smooth hole. When you put it back together, you tighten the bolt until it bottoms out, then tighten the pinch bolt. Keep track of which spacer goes on which side. |
