Hi All!

I'm looking to replace my front light bulb, with something brighter.
Could you give me some info on what kind of bulbs could i use. I'm not sure what bulbs the previous owner installed, could you also tell me what bulbs are stock ?

Our light bulbs are H4. You want brighter than stock go with silver stars, u want real bright install an Hid kit ;)

Not, if you stick to the same wattage... Sylvania silver something is what I have. Great color, great coverage, same wattage.

The brightest light I could find that was a direct replacement was a Piaa Plasma. I put a headlight modulator on it and it flashes road signs in bright daylight.

Can you buy an HID kit that is sized for a motorcycle? All the HID kits I have seen use electronic boxes (power supplies?) that are the size of VHS video tape cassettes, or thereabouts.

I'm hoping there are some kits that are made just for bikes that would have much smaller componentry we could hide on a bike. Wouldn't it be handy for it all to fit in a headlight bucket?

Nowadays the ballast (the box) is the size of a pack of cigarettes, but narrower. Google for slim ballast HID.
And yes, they sell motorcycle kits. One ballast, one bulb. Prices are not too hot either. I was buying at: http://www.retrosolutionsllc.com , check slim digital 35W, at the bottom there's a motorcycle kit.

I think it was member IN-S40 that replaced his bulb with a HID kit from these guys...I wonder how it's been working. Price is much better than the other link. Not sure which kit is the "right" one, but they said our bulb is the equivilant of the H4.
