Title: The lowdown on Supertrapp?
Post by Smokestack on 07/06/11 at 18:10:09

In all my wanderings on the forum an associated interwebz, I get the distinct impression that the Supertrapp is most people's fave aftermarket exhaust for added performance.

My question is: Why?

I'm gonna assume that it's 'cuz of the ability to add or remove discs (baffles?), but I've never been able to find an actual rundown on what makes a Supertrapp better in the performance department than any other higher end aftermarket exhaust, like a Raask or Jardine.

Anyone care to help me out?

You nailed it,,, Its tunable,

That said, its also REally Spendy,. If I was doin it all over, Id slap a Dyna on mine instead of the TRapp,,, the dyna costs about 20 bucks, is better lookin, delivers a performance boost & better sound, &,, the Supertrapp doesnt turn the bike ionto a fire breathin dragon,,, so,, save the $$$, go with a Dyna & see if you like it.. if so,, you saved a load,, if not,, you didnt spend much to find out.

Yup,.. what JOG said...

You're only gonna' gain two or three ponies no matter what pipe you put on...  That's either $100 per horsey, or $10 per horsey...
