Title: Noise at high rpm
Post by scubachef on 07/02/11 at 19:44:49

Hi, I have a 97 ls650 and I am having a whining type noise that seems to develop at higher rpm in all gears.  Maybe a vibration of something?  Not really sure how better to describe it that a whining type noise.  Anyone experience anything like this. I am new to the bike...is this normal?  I tried searching, but with no luck.  First time post, looking to be a productive member of the society moving forward!

It's usually either the speedo bezel or the belt...

Try slightly pressing or lifting up on the speedometer bezel,... if that's it... look in the tech section for the fix...

...if that's not it,... try spraying something on the belt... bees wax, chain wax,... chain lube, wd40,... snot...
