Title: Part number 5LP-24500-01-00 installed

Installed the Yamaha Raptor petcock yesterday. What made my mind up was someone mentioned we may not be getting optimal gas flow with old petcock. They were right! Instantly noticed idle was higher. Took it down the road. Shazam! Ran like it did two years ago when I bought it. Popped and backfired and didn't idle good after choke was off. Get this. I used a wall anchor that screws in wall board for vacuum stopper with hose. I never noticed those things have a little bitty hole in the middle.  ;D Dumb, Dumb....
Free 2001 Suzuki petcock with 14,415 miles on it. I only use USPS Anywhere box--smallest possible, I mail, you send money order. First PM gets it.

but not only am i a CHEAP a$$ i'm also a lazy a$$!

i'm thinking about removing the tank. flipping it on its side and replacing it that way. just to not have to drain the tank!

wonder what my gas cap thinks about THAT idea  ;)

Pretty sure, it thinks you're nuts...
You don't have to pull the tank,... just drain it... ;)...

Started draining nearly full tank and realized tea must be ready. Went in and finished making tea. Came out and tank was empty. Unhooked vacuum from carb and  took bolts out cleaned sealing area by rubbing hard with a tee shirt rag. Put petcock in, bolted up with screwdriver, snugged with wrench. Plugged carb vac hole with bad plug. 20 minutes. No, didn't remove tank. Got a pretty little rubber cap for vacuum hole at Auto zone today. Rode to mc store and bought hwy pegs from Drag Specialies--$20. Put on today--15 minutes.
