Electrical Connection Turn Signal Conversion Kit

http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/detail.cfm?action=fitment&model_id=0&Category_ID=5&manufacturer_ID=223&product_ID=6421&sblid_name=fitment

Says it fits LS 650 but wondering what the additional load would be on the brakelight wiring/circuitry with the LED's.

Little bit pricey at 50, but if it's hardest part is fishing the wiring thru the signal housing, might be worth it. 3 running and brake lights, Farmer likey.

Anybody?

God bless,

Farmer

Check local laws,.. in AZ, any rear running light must be red...

good point,  I think its the same here in VA.

Thats why I was wondering if anybody had actually used them. if you hit the link for installation instructions, they claim to make the existing ambers run red, intensify red on braking, and then flash amber.
I am guessing the LED ring is colored to make the amber show red, and then to cut off completely when current is sent to the existing signal bulb.

If it really works, then not bad.   Might just be better off adding an LED lightbar to the plate, huh?

thanks for the comment and God bless,

Farmer

check
signal dynamics.com
think they make those..
with any led turn signal youll need an electronic flasher(best) or
load equilizers(resistance)

think that kit is all new led bulbs yellow/amber for turns and reds for run and red for brake..
think paladin has that set up on his scoot..

Check out hyperlights.com- I bought and installed their basic kit. It has  red LED running lights that flash when you put the brakes on.

thanks for all replies guys.

Paladin,

does the kit include a flasher for the LEDs or just splice them into something?

what do you suspect cause the failure?

Did you check with these guys and let them know it failed in <3yrs?

Would/did you replace it with another?

Did it utilize the stock bulbs as well as the lenses for turning function?

Overall, was it worth it?

sorry so many q's, and didn't want to pm, I figure maybe someone else will want to know.

God bless,

Farmer
